Every year, the COURT MAIS BON festival highlights the short film format by celebrating bold and creative works. At the 2024 festival, two graduation films made by ESMA's 3D Animation and Special Effects students stood out: Tricot de corps and Reven.
The COURT MAIS BON festival: a showcase for short films
Held in Le Puy-en-Velay, the COURT MAIS BON festival is a not-to-be-missed event for fans and creators of short films. It showcases productions from a wide range of backgrounds, highlighting the creativity and originality of young talent.
Tricot de corps: the Jury’s Special Mention
Directed by Pierre-Marie Bavay, Laurie Beldent, Joan Haubois, Maëlle Le Bris, Camille Lequeux, Malo Lescop, Clara Navoizat and Emma Rateau, the film Tricot de corps captivated the jury, who awarded it the Special Mention. This recognition underlines the uniqueness of its graphic universe and the finesse of its storytelling.

Reven : winner of the Puy-en-Velay and urban area prize
For its part, Reven, made by Hugo Babey, Victor Barreau, Line Bossard, Chloé Hurard, Coralie Monnier, Mathilde Morin, Léna Ripoche and Tanguy Salaun, was awarded the prestigious City of Puy and Urban Area Prize. A great honour that testifies to the emotional power of the film!
