ESMA is proud to announce that two of its student films from the class of 2024, TRASH and LES LUCIOLES, have been selected to take part in the next edition of the prestigious Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2025 (TAAF), to be held in Tokyo, Japan, from 7 to 10 March. These two short films are part of the Short Animation Competition, a highly coveted category that brings together the best international productions by young creators.

The Tokyo Anime Award Festival is one of the most respected events in the animation world. Each year, it celebrates emerging and established talent in the sector, while offering a unique platform for exposure for the most original and innovative works. Being selected for the Short Animation Competition is a major recognition of the creative and technical excellence of TRASH and LES LUCIOLES.

ESMA would like to extend its warmest congratulations to the teams behind the two films on this fine achievement. Their talent, dedication and passion for animation have paid off, and this nomination is concrete proof of that.
