REVEN continues to win over the biggest international festivals! This month, the short film has qualified for the prestigious Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia, taking place in Tokyo from 28 May to 11 June.
An international festival
Created in 1999 in Tokyo, the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA) is now one of the most recognised short film festivals in Asia, and one of the few to be officially qualified for the Oscars. Each year, it showcases works from all over the world, combining high artistic standards, diversity of formats and cultural openness.
For our students, being selected is a real accolade: it means that their work, produced in their final year at ESMA, has won over an international jury with its creativity, technical quality and unique view of the world.
REVEN in the running for the Shibuya Diversity Program
The short film REVEN, made by a team of talented young people who graduated in 2024, has been selected to compete in the Shibuya Diversity Program category . The Shibuya Diversity Program honours films that explore themes of identity, tolerance, inclusion and cultural diversity, all of which are powerfully conveyed in the film.
The next edition of the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia will be held in Tokyo, from 28 May to 11 June 2025. It is in the heart of the Japanese capital that REVEN will have the opportunity to reach an international audience and defend its chances against other creations from all over the world.

Well done and good luck to the team!
We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to the REVEN team for this wonderful recognition. Their nomination at such a prestigious festival is testament to the talent, dedication, and commitment they have put into their project.
We wish them the best of luck in Tokyo!
