ESMA is proud to announce that Reven, the graduating film of the class of 2024, has been selected to take part in the INTERNATIONAL TRICKFILM FESTIVAL OF ANIMATED FILM (ITFS) in Stuttgart. The event, which will be held from 6 to 11 May 2025, is a key reference in the field of animated film.
An internationally renowned festival
Founded in 1982, the International Trickfilm Festival of Animated film in Stuttgart (ITSF) is one of the most prestigious animation festivals in the world. It celebrates creativity and innovation by showcasing emerging talent and productions from the world’s leading studios. Every year, thousands of spectators and industry professionals gather in Stuttgart to discover a cutting-edge selection of animated shorts and features.
A double selection for Reven
The film Reven was shortlisted in two categories:
- “Tricks for Kids”, a competition for animated films aimed at young audiences.
- The “School Programme”, a selection of works from animation schools around the world.

This double selection is huge recognition for directors Hugo Babey, Victor Barreau, Line Bossard, Chloé Hurard, Coralie Monnier, Mathilde Morin, Léna Ripoche and Tanguy Salaun. Their film, which is the result of their studies in 3D Animation and Special Effects at ESMA, has thus shone on the international stage and joined the elite of emerging animation.
