A milestone for a committed film! Our 3D Animation students' graduation film, REVEN, has just been selected for the “Children's Prize” competition at the prestigious CINEMA FOR CHANGE International Festival. A major accolade for this short film, which explores the themes of difference and resilience with subtlety and emotion.
A touching portrait of a determined young girl
REVEN tells the story of a 10-year-old girl born with a lop-sided head. When her teacher questions her ability to adapt, Reven sets out to prove that she is just as capable as her classmates. Her goal? To take a class photo in which she appears upright, just like everyone else. This short film takes a delicate approach to the subject of disability, highlighting the determination of its heroine to overcome obstacles to make those around her proud.

CINEMA FOR CHANGE: a festival with impact
The CINEMA FOR CHANGE International Festival, which will be held for the 14th time in 2025, is a not-to-be-missed event for committed cinematographic creations. Focusing on social and environmental issues, it highlights films that raise awareness and encourage dialogue. REVEN ‘s selection for this prestigious event underlines the artistic quality and emotional impact of our students’ work.

A unique jury for the Children’s Prize
The ‘Children’s Prize’, a special category of the festival, is based on a jury made up exclusively of pupils from partner schools. These young jurors will watch the films in competition and vote between 1 January and 31 March 2025. The awards will be presented at a glittering ceremony in Paris on 12 April 2025.

Congratulations to the REVEN team
Congratulations to the talented students behind REVEN. This selection is a great opportunity for their work to be recognised at an international level. We wish them good luck in the competition and hope that their film will stand out in this category, which brings together the voices of young people.
The recognition of REVEN at CINEMA FOR CHANGE is a source of pride for ESMA and an inspiring example for our future creators. See you on 12 April 2025 for the final verdict!
