This Friday 7 February at 8.15pm, the Cinéma Diagonal in Montpellier will be hosting an exceptional evening as part of the Les Mycéliades festival. Dedicated to science fiction cinema, this year's event focuses on "Intelligences" in all their forms. ESMA is proud to present several films made by its students, alongside productions by CinéCréatis.
Les Mycéliades: a festival dedicated to “Intelligences
The Mycéliades festival is a not-to-be-missed event for fans of science fiction. This year, it explores the theme of “Intelligences” from different angles: artificial intelligence, machine intelligence and extraterrestrial intelligences. These themes regularly inspire ESMA students, who explore them in their short films.
Programming by ESMA and CinéCréatis
The SF evening will feature six films from ESMA: Beyond The Dust, Wilson, All about Area 51, Zona, Behind the Beast and The Archivist. Each of them illustrates, in its own way, the themes of the festival, from the exploration of new forms of intelligence to the impact of technology on our perception of the world.
In the presence of Lise Lett and Mallaury Labourse, former students and directors of Wilson, and Clément Théobald, teacher at ESMA, the audience will have the opportunity to discuss the behind-the-scenes aspects of these creations.
Films from the CinéCréatis school, a member of the Écoles Créatives network, will also be on show!
