La Fête du Cinéma d’Animation: a national celebration

Created by the AFCA, the Fête du Cinéma d’Animation has become a key event for all fans of animated films. Every year throughout October, screenings, workshops, conferences and meetings take place across France. The festival showcases the diversity of animation techniques and styles, while highlighting the creativity of artists from all backgrounds. For ESMA, the leading school for 3D animation and special effects, it was a natural step to take part in this event, sharing the creations of its students with the public.

A promising collaboration with Cinéma Pathé Toulouse Labège

The partnership with the Cinéma Pathé Toulouse Labège is part of a drive to bring animated films to a wider audience. Thanks to their modern equipment and the quality of their screenings, the Pathé cinemas offer the perfect setting for discovering the works of ESMA students under optimum conditions. This is a unique opportunity to see on the big screen short films of high technical and artistic quality, made by our students in their final year of study. These films are the fruit of several months’ work, combining creativity, rigour and passion.

Two screenings not to be missed

On Sunday 27 October, there will be two screenings at Cinéma Pathé Labège of these animated gems. At 1.45pm, the first screening will be tailored to family audiences, allowing younger children to discover works specially chosen for them. Then, at 6.10pm, a second screening will feature films aimed at the over-12s.

The programme for these screenings is available on the Cinéma Pathé Labège website. We invite you to come along and take advantage of this opportunity to plunge into the fascinating world of animated film, and discover the talent of tomorrow’s young artists.
