Last week, ESMA celebrated the culmination of the work of its final-year Graphic Design and Interior Architecture students at an emotional awards ceremony. Here's a look back at the event, which crowned a year of hard work and creativity.
Two intense days to convince the jury
After a year of intense coursework followed by six months’ work experience in a company, the students had the opportunity to present their work to a panel of judges made up of their teachers and leading professionals in their respective fields. During two days of tests, they had to demonstrate their talent, their rigour and their ability to project themselves into their future profession.
Focus on the Interior Design students’ presentations
For the Interior Architecture students, the exercise consisted in presenting their internship thesis, reflecting their immersion in the professional world. At the same time, they submitted to the jury a professional portfolio of their most outstanding projects, illustrating their artistic sensibility and technical mastery.
These presentations, the high point of their course, enabled the students to showcase their creative approach and their understanding of the requirements of the sector.
A double test for Graphic Design students
For their part, the Graphic Design students began the tests with the presentation of their dissertations. These written works, anchored in a theme linked to their host company, assessed their ability to analyse and conceptualise the issues in their field.
On the second day, they presented the jury with work of their choice, produced during their training or work placement. By explaining their creative approach, they were able to demonstrate the richness of their graphic universe and their ability to respond to concrete projects.
A festive ceremony to round off the competition
After two intense and demanding days, the prize-giving ceremony rewarded the efforts of these future professionals. The event continued with a convivial evening, during which the students were able to talk with the members of the jury, their teachers and the teaching staff. A great way to round off their studies at ESMA, before embarking on their careers.
