36 MOUNTAINS exhibition

Guilhem Monceaux, a young graphic designer who graduated from ESMA Montpellier in June 2012, is teaming up with Croatian artist Jenela Bando to present 36 MOUNTAINS. This exhibition of drawings brings together some twenty young artists around a unique format, an accordion notebook produced by Lega Lega in Croatia. 36 Mountains is a nod to one of the masters of printmaking, Hokusai. While the internet encourages the discovery of new talent, certain encounters are necessary without which this project, bringing together artists whose practice varies as much as their origins, would not have seen the light of day. 36 MOUNTAINS will take place from 18 to 31 January 2013 – THE MAT galerie – 3 rue Voltaire, Montpellier.
