Trash, the graduation film of ESMA's class of 2024, has just been selected to take part in the prestigious World Festival of Animated Film - ANIMAFEST ZAGREB 2025. A major recognition for our students and an exceptional opportunity on the international scene!
ANIMAFEST ZAGREB: a global benchmark for animation
Created in 1972, the World Festival of Animated Film – ANIMAFEST ZAGREB is one of the oldest and most prestigious festivals dedicated to animated films. Held every year in Croatia, it celebrates excellence and innovation in the field. A member of the Oscar-qualifying festival circuit, it is a veritable launching pad for emerging talent from all over the world.
Being selected for ANIMAFEST ZAGREB means seeing your work recognised by top-level professionals and benefiting from international exposure. It’s also a unique opportunity for our young directors to compare their film with other exceptional works and to exchange ideas with the major players in the sector.
A springboard for Trash
This year’s festival will be held from June 2 to 7, 2025 in Zagreb, and the film Trash will proudly represent ESMA there. We warmly congratulate the entire film team on this wonderful recognition and wish them good luck for the rest of the adventure.
