In the first year, students learn the basics of graphic design, exploring both the cultural and practical aspects of the discipline.
They develop their skills in drawing, digital creation and communication in general, while working on the implementation of the concepts taught in the course of various multidisciplinary projects.
This year will enable them to develop their creative skills and prepare them to design concrete projects.

Throughout the year, our students become familiar with the entire production chain of a graphic design project.
They acquire the cultural, practical and technical fundamentals they need to work with print and digital media in the best possible conditions.
The aim is to work in an applied way on concrete subjects to develop their creativity and cultivate their individuality. Two essential assets for standing out on the job market.
Explore a varied historical corpus and develop an analysis to grasp the importance of cultural issues in graphic design.
Acquire methods of analysis and argumentation by working on general and topical subjects related to graphic design.
Acquire oral fluency on a range of subjects relating to current affairs, culture, art and design.
Work on the composition of an image, its balance and dynamism, and develop regular drawing practice.
Define divergent, personal and creative paths based on an intention, and develop complex concepts without falling into commonplaces.
Learn creative methodology by working on projects that require analysis, fine-tuning and technical finalisation.
Applying all the rules of graphic design, colour choices, typography, composition, etc.
Learn about cultural and professional issues, analyse and understand communication strategy methods, etc.
Learn about production tools, printing techniques and digital tools. Understand the uses and development of a project through to finishing and distribution.
Discover digital creation tools through practical and creative exercises. Develop relevant knowledge of digital creation tools.
Because there's no better way to learn a trade than to practise it, a minimum 8-week work placement is recommended between the 1st and/or 2nd year. It's an opportunity to put the knowledge you've acquired into practice, gain hands-on experience, build your network and position yourself in the job market.

A 3-year course, validated by a Level 6 RNCP qualification (equivalent to Bac+3/4)
