At ESMA, the Graphic Design program strikes a balance between technical skills, artistic culture, and practical projects.
Students acquire skills in typography, layout, art direction, motion design, UI/UX design, and learn to master professional software.
Supervised by industry professionals, they work on real briefs, develop their portfolios, and participate in workshops related to current practices.
Graduates can then join communication agencies, creative studios, or companies.
The program is organized around a combination of theoretical classes, workshops, and masterclasses. This diversity of methods and project-based teaching approach reinforces learning. A team of permanent professional instructors, committed to a consistent and progressive teaching approach, supervises students and monitors their projects throughout the program.
The equipment and software made available to students, which are used intensively throughout their studies, enable them to master the tools used in the profession. Computer rooms, professional and specialized software, photo studio, and filming studio.

Because learning by doing is the best way to learn, the final year of the Graphic Design course, with the Digital Communication or Motion Design option, can be taken as an apprenticeship. The work-study program involves one week at school and three weeks in a company, allowing you to gradually immerse yourself in the professional world. The cost of the training is fully covered by the company. You will also receive support at every stage, including individual coaching, workshops, and a dedicated platform. Explore a diverse historical corpus and develop an analysis to grasp the importance of cultural issues in graphic design. Know how to construct and articulate your own frame of reference, understand the creative, technical, and professional characteristics of graphic design practice.
Acquire methods of analysis and argumentation by working on topics related to general culture and current events in graphic design. Apply elements of general culture and philosophy in the development of in-depth, cross-disciplinary thinking in creative subjects.
Acquire fluency in speaking about various topics related to current events, culture, art, and design.
Work on image composition, balance, and dynamism, and develop a regular drawing practice. Respond to complex requests, discover storyboarding and framing concepts to move towards digital and motion design.

Learn the methodology of creation through the practice of projects that require analysis, development, and technical finalization.
Apply all graphic design rules, color choices, typography, composition, etc. Learn creative rules and techniques in order to apply them consistently across all projects.
