Extension project of a mazet 40s provided with a quality plant environment in a suburb of Montpellier, an initial area of 60m ².
The subject concerned the extension of an existing mazet in a suburb of Montpellier, with an initial surface of 60m².
This mazet 1940s is equipped with a quality plant environment.
The planned extension should not distort the existing architecture and propose a surface increase to accommodate a family of 4 people.
The architectural choice retained by Sarah Chamontin, a first year student in BTS Space Design, is to rely on the formal characteristics of the house by extending the roof.
This strong gesture accentuates the identity of this roof present visually, in a contemporary way, also creates living space to meet the expectations of the owner.
The house will be better integrated with its plant environment, and will allow the family to refocus in qualitative and very bright spaces.
The student worked on different qualities of glass depending on the exposure of the house and the opposite.
