Tales and dark legends of Japan is a work by Louise Botin, a student in the Illustration Concept Art section at ESMA (class of 2022).
My Dark Tales and Legends of Japan project is a book illustrating scary and mysterious stories… ranging from simple urban legends to tales from Japanese folklore. Each text has been rewritten and illustrated by me. It was important to me to do a project that was close to my heart. The result is a book that combines what I’ve always loved: Japanese culture and scary stories!
