Create imaginary animals using coloured stains.
WORK REQUESTED
Using paint-based tasks, the students were asked to “invent an animal”. This was the theme submitted by teacher Véronique Lenouvel to her Prep students.
Whether it was a drop of water or random lines, the students were instructed to use these motifs as inspiration to draw an animal (whether real or imaginary).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE EXERCISE
- Imagine an animal based on paint spots
- Use graphic tools (felt-tip pen, pen, etc.)
LEARNING OBJECTIVE
The students were challenged to draw on their creative resources to ‘find’ and reveal these animals. The aim of the workshop was to show them that it is possible to create something out of ‘nothing’ and that anything can be a medium for art and expression.
