What did ESMA bring him? "A culture of art history and countless references that fuel my creativity on a daily basis".

Arnaud de Palange has an atypical background, and he’s proud of it: after training in psychology and then in space design at ESMA, this talented jack-of-all-trades has just graduated in architecture.
However, there is a common quest that links these seemingly disparate fields of object, space and city: “to give people pleasure, while leaving them a vital part to interpret”.

Since 2009, when he graduated from ESMA, he has been working on an increasing number of projects and references. In parallel with his architectural studies, he works on individual housing projects, producing sketches and building permits. His projects range from fitting out a new house in the Tarn to renovating an old house.

What did ESMA give him?

“A culture of art history and countless references that fuel my creativity on a daily basis”.

Since 2013, he has been working with publishing houses SCE and Metylos, creating lighting, furniture and accessories. These are objects that reintroduce poetry into our everyday lives, like this wooden coat hook that evokes the childlike drawings of birds in flight.

What’s more, his inspired designs regularly win him plaudits from the press, from ” Home Magazine ” to “Architecture d’intérieur”. In 2013, he won the Prix Coup de Cœur Orange for the 35 October shop design at the Design Tour Lyon, and was once again recognised by the professionals.

For Arnaud de Palange, “there’s no such thing as chance, only encounters”.

The most recent of these was with the Jouin Manku agency, which he joined as an architect-designer.
