Ambre Maurin began her studies at ESMA almost 10 years ago. As a child, she dreamed of working in the Disney studios, and after 3 years of learning Maya software, sweating and sacrificing weekends, the last year enabled her to make her first short film: Grosse Truffe.
It was during this time that she was able to take on many challenges, learn to work as part of a team and find out what speciality she wanted to specialise in.
“For me, it was clear: I’m going to be a 3D animator!
Once she had her diploma, she spent 3 years in Belgium as an animator on the feature film Fly me to the moon, before moving on to London to work on The Tale of Desperaux, Where the wild things are and even Avatar.
Ambre then moved to Australia and New Zealand, where she had the opportunity to work on major productions such as Kung fu Panda and The Penguins of Madagascar.
Today she works for Bardel Entertainment in Canada, on animated series for TV programmes produced by Dreamworks.
